The Battle of Evermore

To Bring the Balance Back...

This site was created for entertainment purposes only, some material may not be suitable for all ages. There are adult themes within these pages, and the law of most states stipulate that you must be 18 or older to either imbibe or participate, this site is no exception. And while I cannot 'police' those that visit here, I ask that you listen to your conscience and adhere to the laws regarding age where you reside. If you are not at least 18 years of age do not enter. If you are, then enjoy, and let the coupled imagination of the author and the reader soar.

There is much to be said about imagination, not to mention the power of words.

And music. Let's not forget music.

Music can enhance the imagination in its insurmountable ability to take fight. To take you places you never dreamed of, or maybe you have and you never thought that a 'dream' existed, or could exist within the written word.

The Battle of Evermore, a song performed by a group of musicians who called themselves Led Zepplin. I offer the lyrics below:

The queen of light took her bow
And then she turned to go
The prince of peace embraced the gloom
And walked the night alone

Oh, dance in the dark of night

The dark lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all

Oh, throw down your plow and hoe

Side by side we wait the night
The darkest of them all

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh

I hear the horses' thunder
Down in the valley below
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon
Waiting for the eastern glow

The apples of the valley hold
The seas of happiness
The ground is rich from tender care
Repay, do not forget

The apples turn to brown and black
The tyrant's face is red, ohhhh

Oh, war is the common cry

The sky is filled with good and bad
That mortals never know, ohhh

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oh, well, the night is long
The beads of time pass slow
Tired eyes on the sunrise
Waiting for the eastern glow

The pain of war cannot exceed
The woe of aftermath
The drums will shake the castle wall
The ring wraiths ride in black

Sing as you raise your bow

No comfort has the fire at night
That lights the face so cold

Oh, dance in the dark of night

The magic runes are writ in gold
To bring the balance back
Bring it back

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

At last the sun is shining
The clouds of blue roll by
With flames from the dragon of darkness
The sunlight blinds his eyes

Ohhh ohhh Ohhhh, ahh ahh ahh ahh

Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Ohhhhhh
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Bring it back,
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Oh now,
Bring it,
Bring it,
Bring it,
Bring it,
Bring it,
Bring it,
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
Huh huh huh (X28)

This story is about Good v Evil. An entity that is on-going to this very day. It is not neccessarily about right or wrong, but it coud be. As the author I allowed my own imagination to spread its wings and take flight. As the reader, it is my wish that you do the same.

I welcome suggestions, criticisms or what have you via email. I ask, however, that you keep in mind that I am a whimsical spirit that sings, dances and writes to her own cadence.
